Christian Women Rock is excited to announce two impactful volunteer opportunities as part of our Inclusive Community-Based Care and Support Program aimed at empowering youth (ages 15-35) and reducing HIV infections. We believe in providing compassionate, comprehensive support that addresses both the emotional and health-related needs of young people in our communities. These volunteer roles are integral to building resilience, fostering mental health, and promoting healthy lifestyle choices, all within a supportive environment.

Position 1: Volunteer Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer
Program: Inclusive Community-Based Care and Support for Youth(15-24)
Location: Remote/Online
Duration:1year
Reports to: Programme, Monitoring and Evaluation Manager

Position Overview:
We are seeking a volunteer Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer to assist in tracking and evaluating the outcomes of our Inclusive Community-Based Care and Support Program aimed at reducing HIV infections among youth aged 15-35. The M&E Officer will play a key role in ensuring that our initiatives are impactful, data-driven, and responsive to community needs. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about public health, data analysis, and youth empowerment.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Collection and Analysis
• Assist in developing and implementing data collection tools to monitor program activities and outcomes.
• Collect quantitative and qualitative data from program sites, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Support data entry, cleaning, and analysis to track program indicators related to HIV prevention, awareness, and community engagement.
2. Program Monitoring
• Conduct regular site visits to ensure program activities are delivered in alignment with program goals.
• Track progress against established benchmarks and identify areas for improvement.
• Support program staff with ongoing monitoring, providing feedback to enhance program effectiveness and inclusivity.
3. Reporting and Documentation
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reports that summarize findings, outcomes, and impact metrics.
• Document best practices, success stories, and lessons learned for internal and external reporting.
• Support the development of presentations and visual data summaries for stakeholders and community partners.
4. Evaluation and Impact Assessment
• Assist with evaluations to assess the effectiveness of the program.
• Support the development of evaluation frameworks and tools for measuring program impact on HIV infection rates among youth.
• Engage with youth participants and community stakeholders to gather feedback and insights.
5. Capacity Building and Training
• Collaborate with program staff to build capacity in data collection and M&E processes.
• Participate in M&E training sessions to enhance personal skills and support team competency.

Qualifications:
• Background in public health, social sciences, statistics, data management, or related fields (students and recent graduates encouraged to apply).
• Strong analytical skills and familiarity with data collection, management, and analysis.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, STATA) is an asset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly with youth.
• Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and confidentiality.
• Passion for youth empowerment and HIV prevention efforts.

Position2 : Volunteer Psychosocial Counsellor

Position Overview:
The Volunteer Psychosocial Counsellor will provide emotional support, counselling, HIV Testing Services (HTS), and educational resources to youth (ages 15-35) impacted by or at risk of HIV infection. This role is essential for fostering resilience, promoting mental health, and supporting healthy lifestyle choices among at-risk youth.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct one-on-one and group counselling sessions, addressing emotional well-being, stigma, and challenges related to HIV.
• Facilitate discussions on healthy behaviours, HIV prevention, and coping strategies.
• Administer HIV Testing Services (HTS) with pre- and post-test counselling, ensuring clients understand the process, results, and follow-up steps.
• Maintain confidentiality, fostering a safe and inclusive environment.
• Support youth in accessing additional resources, including healthcare, social services, and follow-up support for those testing positive.
• Document sessions and report progress to assess program impact and ensure effective delivery.
• Support outreach efforts to raise awareness about HIV prevention services, including PrEP, PEP, and condom distribution.
• Help distribute educational materials and resources about HIV testing and prevention.
• Provide support in linking clients to appropriate healthcare services, including referrals for further testing, treatment, and psychosocial support.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of HIV-related issues and counselling techniques.

Qualifications:
• Interest in public health, social work, psychology, or related fields (students and recent graduates are encouraged to apply).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Empathy and a non-judgmental attitude toward individuals at risk for or living with HIV.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information.
• Previous experience in health education, counselling, or community service is an added advantage
